OUR METHOD
Keep facts, questions and possibilities distinct.
A Place Ahead began with a family-home search: listings in one place, school research in another, and the useful answers buried in agent conversations.
Evidence beside the decision
The workspace brings those pieces together around each property. The useful unit is not a confident paragraph. It is a statement with a source, a date and a clear limit: what the advert shows, what someone has confirmed, or what still needs checking. When a source changes, the next action should change with it.
Listing availability and willingness to negotiate are recorded separately. An advertised rental can be suitable for a family without its owner being willing to sell. A seller may welcome an enquiry without agreeing to any suggested structure. The record should say which conversation has actually happened.
The household sets the search
Area choices, budget assumptions and family needs belong to the household. Research should work within those choices. A new area remains a proposal until approved. Putting an area on the backburner keeps its history while removing it from the active search.
School research is address- and entry-year-specific. Bathroom counts, parking and energy details are checked alongside it. Unknowns remain visible even when a property looks promising on other measures. This avoids allowing one attractive feature to stand in for a complete assessment.
Public information, private working records
These public pages describe the method and provide a school-evidence checklist. They do not contain live family shortlists, household circumstances, email addresses, message bodies or agent replies. Access to the working research is private.
The public pages have no advertising pixels, analytics tags, signup forms or payment collection. Serving a page still involves normal web requests to the hosting provider. Visiting an external source or the private workspace takes you to a separate service or access boundary.
What the method cannot establish
A Place Ahead does not allocate school places, verify a legal right to purchase, provide a mortgage recommendation or establish a property valuation. Those questions require the relevant authority or qualified professional. An owner’s informal willingness to talk is recorded as a conversation, not a completed agreement.
There is no public paid offer or mobile-store release announced here. Product work and research practice continue to develop. Public examples are labelled illustrative and contain no real family or agent data. Claims about outcomes, savings or success rates would require evidence; none are presented on these pages.
