YOUR ACCOUNT AND YOUR RESEARCH

Privacy at A Place Ahead

Updated 2 October 2026

Public information and the calculator work without an account. Google sign-in identifies your account; workspace membership controls access to shared research.

What Google sign-in shares

When you choose Continue with Google, Google provides an account identifier, your name, email address, verification status and available profile picture. A Place Ahead uses these to identify your account and match invitations. We request only identity, email and basic profile access. We do not request access to Gmail, contacts, Drive or Calendar.

Cookies and sessions

Sign-in uses a short-lived cookie to secure the Google callback and an essential session cookie lasting up to seven days. Production cookies use HTTPS and cannot be read by page scripts. Signing out ends that session. It does not erase your account or group history.

Public page measurement

These public pages do not include analytics tags or advertising pixels. Serving a page involves normal web requests to the hosting provider.

Who sees shared research

Group members can see the properties and notes shared with their group. Owners control invitations and roles; editors can update research; viewers can read it. Removing a member blocks future access through the workspace, but cannot retrieve copies they already made.

The founder’s existing property research and agent correspondence are separate. They are not automatically imported into a Google account or shared group. Add only information that you intend to share, and avoid sensitive information about children or other people.

Hosting and retention

Fly.io hosts the application. Google handles account authentication. AllSource stores account, session, invitation, membership and encrypted research events. The server can decrypt research after checking workspace access. Authorized operators can administer the service.

The workspace retains historical events and supports archiving and restoring records. Archiving does not permanently erase data or historical backups. Self-service account deletion and an automatic erasure schedule are not available. Expired sessions and revoked invitations stop granting access, but their historical records may remain.

Questions or account requests

Contact the workspace operator at decebal@technical-leaders.com. Include the account email and request, but no passwords or authentication codes.

External listing and school websites follow their own privacy practices. Read Google’s privacy policy for Google’s handling of sign-in data.
